Moemas, Parktown Quarter  The brainchild of Daniell Postma who trained as a chef in London. Very pricey but oh so good. Wonderful quiches and salads – try the chickpea and chard ; and pastries, brioches and tartlets to die for. Grab a place outside in the sun on a warm winter’s day. 011 788 7725  Cr 7th and 3rd Avenues Parktown North  (Joburg has to be the only big city where you can have an address corner 3rd Ave and 7th Ave ..  go figure??) Sadly only open for breakfast and lunch

Woolworths stores  Always have good buffet style meals with loads of vegetarian options . The Hyde Park café is particularly good.
