Congratulations to Greig Walker of Cnr. Cafe, our favourite local restaurant 3 blocks from Liz at Lancaster.  Cnr. Cafe has just won the Best Neighbourhood Restaurant in the 2010 Leisure Options of Joburg reader’s Choice awards. Well deserved.  The Best of Joburg Winners will be included inside next week’s November issue of Get It magazine.

Anglo- Gold Ashanti has done an amazing job of redeveloping Joburg’s first power station, including the orginal space which housed the massive turbines.  Located in Newtown this development is a very succesful example of sustainable and sensitive adaptive re-use of  industrial heritage.
